NASA Inter-Center Competition (ICC) #12

Post by PatRay » Tue Jan 23, 2018 8:42 pm

All,

For the last 12 years several NASA centers have come together for a bragging rights only homebrew competition. Your own Armstrong Flight Research Center started participating in 2010 and we won bragging rights for that year, but not since then. I have the dubious honor of coordinating the local Armstrong competition this year and in reviewing the guidelines, low and behold I discovered that you all can participate. Here's the entry criteria:

Who can enter?
NASA civil servant or contractor employees
Spouses or immediate family members
Members of the homebrew clubs participating in the event with members of the above categories

The categories this year are:
Spiced Beer (BJCP 30)
Pale American Ale (BJCP 18)

The local judging will take place in Rosamond at a sangria-la residence located on the backside of the Rosamond Skypark on Friday the 13th of April. Judging starts at 1pm and the party starts around 4 pm and goes into the night. The top two entries in each category will advance to the Agency competition on to be held on Saturday, April 28th. Armstrong has the dubious honor of coordinating the judging for the Agency this year as well... No entry fees, no shipping fees, just brew some dam good beer.

If you want to participate, let me know so I can add you do the distribution list for the event.

DISCLAIMER: This event is a voluntary, unofficial social team-building event and does not represent an endorsement by NASA. Activities associated with this event occur outside of normal business hours and at your own expense. No tax dollars will be spent during the making of these fine brews!
