Customized BEAVR Growlers

I propose we fund growlers for BEAVR members. I think having growlers with our clubs identity will help us attract new members. As an added bonus, we can have the words “Home Brew” printed on it so we are abiding with the California law governing home brew meeting in breweries.

I found a 64oz amber growler with 2 color printing for $5.52 each. If we buy 40, that’s $220.80 without shipping from Las Vegas. I’ve spoken to Dylan and he has agreed to have the growlers purchased through him (this means we support local/have a place this stuff can be shipped to). There will be a small mark up to do it this way, but I’m pretty sure everybody would agree to it.

Roger brought up a good point. I wanted to use club funds for this. Specifically, the $10 increase to our dues from last year. I’d be happy to talk this through with anyone, and I will talk about this at the meeting.

We can do this one of two ways, by vote here, or at the meeting on the 2nd.

I like the idea as long as the club is just "fronting" the money and not purchasing them for members. These can be a way to raise a few more $ for the club account. Not sure how much impact it would have on recruiting new members but maybe seeing some displayed in Dylan's shop or carried around by members attending meetings at local breweries might get some attention.
