Meeting Minutes from April 2018

We had a lot of fresh faces at the last meeting which was awesome! Huge thanks to Brian and Lucky Luke for the fantastic hospitality! Below are some of the notable topics of discussion.

- Best Beer of the Night was awarded to a couple of fresh faces to the club, Ryan and Michelle. What a way to step in. 1 meeting, 1 win. Great job on the Brown Porter!!!

- Digital Membership Cards are a go. We will start phasing them in this year with a goal to completely switch over for the 2019 membership year. If you didn't give me your email address to opt in then please pm me. I'll be pushing the cards out tomorrow.

- In-Club Competitions are happening. Currently we have Lucky Luke, Transplants and Bravery locked in. I will be reaching out to Steve from Kinetic to see if he would be interested.

- National Home Brew Day (observed) will be on 12 May with a location TBD.

- Although we didn't cover it at the meeting, I thought I would give an update about the logo artwork "vectorization". Matthew Luker has offered the services of Brandon for free. Huge thanks to the Transplants crew for the assist!

- Fest
-- Pat discussed fest and would be getting with Juan to figure out how to order more shirts.
-- The fest site will not be powered, but that doesn't mean this year will be any less epic. If you have a spare generator and wouldn't mind lending it to a fellow home brewer please let us know.
-- If you plan on attending Fest and will be bringing a beer, it would be greatly appreciated if you could post what you're bringing on the forum (beavr.net). Questionable names are highly encouraged and you'll need to provide artwork (8.5" x 11"/laminated) for the menu board. Traditionally our booth has been the most "colorful" and we would like to keep it that way.

Reminder, there will not be a normal meeting for May as we will all be at fest. Check the events for for info (Facebook Group is usually most current).
