Forum...FB...Email...text...lets find something for all
All, Pat and I were talking about trying to find a way to connect everyone. Right now we're using multiple platforms (forum/email/FB/text) and are looking for ideas on how to bridge the gap. The requirement would be it has to be easy to use (like an app connected to the forum) and it would be nice if we could tie it in to the forum for a centralized communication platform. Thoughts? See the article below.

IMO, the forum works just fine. If you need reminders for posts or replies, set up an RSS or email notification. There are RSS readers for both android and iphone that will agglomerate all of the content of the forum and tell you what you have and haven't seen.

Dylan,
I’m not looking to change the functionality of the forum, but rather make it more accessible for those who prefer the ease of use apps offer. The article I posted covers down on some pretty good options for us to explore.

Couldn't have said it better myself!Mashtun4979 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 16, 2018 5:52 pmThe San Jose Sharks are a garbage team which will stay garbage with an unchanged roster in the 2018-19 season.
Back to the subject of the forum, though:
I'm sorry the internet is hard for you. Almost as hard as winning a Stanley Cup. Or two Stanley Cups, in this case.

There are already apps for this. They are called RSS readers. It's not complicated. In fact, RSS is often called Really Simple Syndication.Mashtun4979 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 16, 2018 5:52 pmmake it more accessible for those who prefer the ease of use apps offer.

Ouch Dylan. Lol. You came out swinging on that one.
On to the forum...maybe, there is a solution not stuck in 2004? Worth exploring?

You're right, things escalated quickly. Good luck with your BEAVR VIEWR app. I'm sure it'll be well-received.

Re: Forum...FB...Email...text...lets find something for all
In an effort to consolidate information, going forward all club business will go through the forum. Steve will continue looking into app integration for those that wish to go that route, but in the meantime I'd recommend everyone either uses an RSS reader like Dylan detailed above, or subscribes to the forums to receive emails when anything is posted. Go into each individual board, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the "Subscribe Forum" link. You'll receive an email every time something is posted.
Also, if anyone can't see the "Member Information" and "BEAVR Announcements" forum links at the bottom of the main forum listing, please PM me so I can fix that.
