2017 Homebrew Fest Prep Thread!
BEAVRs,
Thankfully Jack, Street, and Pat worked their magic and got the forum up in time to coord this year's fest festivities!
-Buy your tickets, pay your BEAVR dues, pay street if you still owe him for a fest camper site, split costs fo tent campers will be calculated in the near future
-Fest is on May 5 & 6, and we got sweet camping sites this year
-A beer signup will appear very soon, get on the list before 20 kegs populate the list, and don't forget campsite beer! Let us know if you have pin lock kegs and we'll have the hardware ready to rock
-The Bragging Rights Only style is lager. Dylan's exquisite Baltic porter is going to be our tribute, dropoff has to happen between 4:30-5:30 on Friday, I don't remember the volume requirements, but a growler should work (will update)
-The earliest we can get into the fest site on Friday is 3 pm per the meeting we went to last year (update if this changed)
Fest Improvements
-New banner- Street is working on getting a quality banner to draw the crowds to the house BEAVR built
-Improved drip trays- I saw the trays Dylan has, and they look dope, we'll pay you soon
-Wheel of beer- Ryan is decommissioning the wheel of kink and repurposing it for fest to help those home brewers who cannot pick a beer from our massive list, thanks rawlings
-Beer sign holder- I'll construct this, it will have room for 20 beer signs, landscape layout, I'll keep working on ideas on how to mount/hang it
-Beer randle- I'm working on this w/ steve, it's going to be made out of a water filter housing. Should it have a fitting to connect to a ball lock keg or a tap faucet?
-Fest shirts- I'll post another thread for this year's shirt coord
-Stickers & extra shirts for sale- Kevin, do you still have the details for the decals you sourced? Please send me the logos and I can get a quote from a site I've used before. How many extra shirts do we want to make to offer up at the booth?
Please bring up anything else I didn't cover
Cheers!

Team Juan-Street are working the shirts. We're going with a woodland camo with white print this year.
Street said we can pay for the shirts at fest.
Reply here with your shirt sizes if you weren't at the April meeting, we're getting a number of extras so we should have enough for everyone in any event.

Hey-
I'm going up to the area early to take a two day bike ride vacation.I'd rather not have BEAVR nuts sitting in my car at the Palomar Mt. campsite. Can anyone transport them for me? They need to get there on Friday, as I have to dump the honey in Beez Nutz the night before. Any help here?

What dimensions are we doing for the beer signs, same 8.5"×11" landscape layout as in the past?
Re: 2017 Homebrew Fest Prep Thread!
Anyone (especially Jose) is welcome to leave their keg at my house. Those arriving Friday night or Saturday, it's a pain to try and squeeze kegs into the bar after the ice is in.
Few other things. I've got the new banner and will have a beefier holder for it. The water drip trays are installed and Dylan and I even cleaned the lines. Are we going to have the sign holder ready? Signs need to be 8.5 x 11 landscape. Make them clear to read from a few feet away. Dylan has volunteered a CO2 tank. Always good to have a backup if someone can. That's a show stopper.
Ryan are you going to get the trailer or should I rent one?
Again I'll bring a ton of Firewood, my propane stove and everything for omelets in a bag on Saturday morning. Besides that everyone is on their own. Bring chairs. If anyone has extra 30 to 15 amp converters we might need them. A big flood light would be awesome too if someone has one for camp. No idea on costs for camp and supplies so just assume $30 each and $5 if you have paid for your own site. Bring quarters if you want to shower. I'll bring my pub table for outside the booth. Anyone have another?
Anything else we need?

Thanks for the coordination Street!
The sign holder will be ready for Fest. It's going to be pretty large, 10' x 2'-ish, so it's going to be interesting to hang from the Fest tent, but I have a plan. Landscape orientation for the signs is correct. I looked at mine from last year and said portrait, but after looking at pics from last year, I was almost the only one with a portrait orientated sign.
I'll bring my wee little 5 lb. Co2 tank as a backup so we're not SOL.
Does anyone want to bring a big vat of vanilla ice cream again this year for beer floats?
Also, stickers arrived at my house last week, and they look awesome.
How did shirts come out and are they done?

Additionally, I called Vail Lake Campgrounds, and the standard check-in time is 1 PM on Friday.
Early check-in starting at 9 AM is allowed for an additional $10 if the campsite is vacant.
Whose name do we need to check-in under this year?

I'll bring 2 x 8' tables for the campsite. If anyone plans are on arriving on Saturday (or staying a in a hotel)maybe they can pick up ice cream?? I'll bring a full 20 lbs CO2 tank as the back up. I was also have a nifty bean bag toss set for the fest ground and a case of water to share.

Should the signs be laminated?
